Absolute Beginner - Learn to Sew - 4 week course - Starting Wednesday Evening -12th November 6.30pm- 8.30pm (full)

Would you like to learn how to sew and be able to use a sewing machine with confidence?

Is your sewing machine still in the box and you are scared to get it out?

Don't have a sewing machine yet but would like to learn? (You can use one of ours!)

If the answer is YES to any of the above then join us on this Absolute Beginner 4 week course. You will learn the very basics whilst making an assortment of small items that will build your confidence.

You will learn how to:

• Use the functions on your machine
• Thread the machine and wind the bobbin
• Sew straight seams and how to finish them 
• Sew a simple zip
• Use basic sewing tools and equipment 

In our first session we will be getting to know our sewing machine, discussing sewing the kit and making our very first useful item!

Requirements:

For the first session you will need to bring a

• notebook and pen
• basic sewing kit (if you have one)
• your sewing machine with all accessories and manual (if you have one) 

Materials will be provided for the first session. You will be given a requirements list for the other projects we will be making.

Workshop and Classes Terms and Conditions

We require full payment in advance to secure your place. This can be done in person at the shop, online via our website or by telephone during shop hours.  Unfortunately, we cannot hold places without full payment. 

Please make sure you are able to attend all dates before booking as our workshops have limited places available and classes/workshops are non-refundable.

In the event you cannot attend you may send someone else in your place. We will need the name of the substitute student in advance.

Please note that the workshop space is now downstairs and Rhiannon will carry your machine downstairs for you. 

All participants must feel that they are able to exit the premises with the minimal assistance in the event of an evacuation.
