We are excited to offer this workshop focusing on Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) featuring the classic "Strom at Sea" design. The block consists of several elements creating a striking curving effect, making it accessible for beginner quilters while offering a challenge for the more experienced quilter. You will be making a sample block that you can turn into a bag/cushion at home or make more blocks at your leisure and make a quilt! We will have a maximum of 6 Students.
What you will learn:
- Basic introduction and the advantages of FPP over other piecing methods
- About the tools we use and requirements including cutting instructions
- Pattern interpretation - sewing by numbers!
- Dealing with tricky angles and working with directional prints
- Joining many blocks to get accurate results
- Tips for success and avoiding common pitfalls
